A very unusual shape: elongated, 3x longer than wide! The fruits are yellow with green stripes, the color continues internally and (when cut open) resembles a kiwi. Enjoy the shape, the taste is mild and is therefore often used in chutney or other cooked dishes. A historical variety; the plant is compact in growth, so no need to remove suckers, leaf pruning is allowed.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse (or mini-greenhouse)? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes is a size between cherry tomato and beefsteak tomato: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen a little later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse or growing tunnel.
