Cherry Tomato 'Valencia' F1
- Product number: 291819
- Origin: Central America
- Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum
This dwarf tomato grows with dark green leaves and bright orange fruits, looking like mini oranges... recommended for ornamental purposes alone! Fortunately, the fruits also taste delicious, and you can pick fresh cherry tomatoes for your salads or sandwiches at will.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are named accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, while a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is probably why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
