First, of course, you notice the beautiful bronze-red color, along with the slender, oval-round olive shape. The fruits are (fairly large) one-bite snacks and taste deliciously sweet; children love them! The plants yield a large harvest.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet; a few have a sweet-sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is perhaps why they are generally more resistant to the feared late blight.
