Cherry tomato 'Sunchocola' F1

  • Product number: 291775
  • Origin: South America
  • Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum, or also L. esculentum

A high-yielding, professional variety with small, brownish-red fruits that have a wonderfully sweet and slightly smoky aroma: unique! Each truss bears 8-12 round fruits, 2-3 cm in diameter and weighing 30 grams per fruit. The plants are climbing and fairly disease-resistant.
If you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse, diseases can develop in the soil. Rootstocks are resistant to these diseases, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a helpful tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting Clip 1.5 mm.

The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are named accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, while a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is perhaps why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
