A delightful project where our grower crossed 4 of the most delicious striped plum tomato varieties. What can you expect: approximately 50g, oval, juicy and sweet, on robust, productive (low-growing) indeterminate tomato plants. The plants bear fruit abundantly and for a long time. Feel free to grow them with two to four stems for an even larger harvest; suckering is not really necessary. Expect many cheerful colours: from red through orange to soft yellow, with contrasting stripes. Green hues and anthocyanin (dark blue) are also often present. From this delightful cross mix, you can select your favourite plants year after year, and thus create lovely unique varieties.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, perhaps that's why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
