Wild Cherry Tomato 'Pink Bouncy'

  • Product number: 291590
  • Origin: South America
  • Latin: Lycopersicon humboldtii

Deliciously sweet, pinkish-red cherry tomatoes that grow on wild-growing plants. The plants are almost never diseased and bear fruit well into autumn. I doubt the wild origin of this variety and have given it a fitting name. Botanists can determine whether this species is truly unique and wild. The nomenclature of the tomato is not entirely clear to me and is still evolving.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, against which rootstocks are resistant, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.

The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet; a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is perhaps why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
