A rather small tomato the size of a ping-pong ball. The color is unique for a small group of tomatoes: brownish-red with a blue sheen! Give them a sheltered spot; due to their enormous growth power, the plant can be easily trained along a wall. In a greenhouse, they take up a lot of space. The taste is juicy and sweet; the thin skin makes it an easy 2-biter.
If you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse (or mini-greenhouse), diseases can develop in the soil. Rootstocks are resistant to these diseases, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet; a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is probably why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
