This "wild" tomato has everything it takes to succeed in all weather conditions: disease-resistant (Phytophthora), large harvest, vigorous growth, and very tasty! The plants grow to 2 m tall and prefer to grow on multiple main stems. The small, deep red fruits are about 2 cm in diameter and weigh an average of 4-5 g.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are given a slightly different name accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, while a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which may be why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
