The 'Cherry Falls' is a marvel of compactness and productivity, specially bred for those who want to make the most of every square inch on their balcony or patio.
The plant forms a sturdy base of about 15 to 40 cm high, then lets its branches cascade like a graceful, green waterfall over the edge of a hanging basket or raised grow box. These lush vines can reach up to 90 cm in length! It's a spectacular sight when the plant fills with clusters of shiny, deep red marbles, weighing about 15-20 grams each. The taste is exactly as a true summer tomato should be: an explosion of sweet juice with that unmistakable, fresh, tart undertone. In a good summer, this plant is incredibly generous; expect a harvest of up to 80 of these juicy treats from a single plant.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are given a slightly different name accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, perhaps that's why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
