You're seeing it right: a pure heart-shaped tomato! The old name for tomatoes: "love apple," truly comes to life here. The bright red small fruits grow on climbing plants. The soft skin provides a pleasant bite, after which the juicy fruits reveal their taste: sweet and sour in the right pleasant proportion. Delicious as a snack in between and beautiful as a decoration in a tomato soup or salad!
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which may be why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
