The original, yellow cowslip. The young leaves can be eaten raw in salads or added to soup for the last 5 minutes. The taste is quite neutral, but the mouthfeel is pleasant! Because the plant sprouts early in spring, it was heavily harvested from the wild (to the point of extinction); changed agricultural methods have also not helped. A delicious wine was even made from the flowers! There are plenty of medicinal properties; among others, we found its application for ADHD avant la lettre! Plant height 15-30 cm, the best location is semi-shade to sun, provided it is sufficiently moist. The plants grow in grass, provided it is not mown short.
