This old French variety is comparable to the well-known Japanese Uchiki Kuri (or Red Kuri), but was introduced to Europe much earlier. Comparative tests showed a slightly higher yield and better storability. Reason enough to reintroduce this variety to you! The taste is particularly good: slightly sweet, nutty with a nice texture.
Pumpkins can be grown outdoors without any problems. The growing tips can be pruned regularly and are edible! Harvesting during dry weather gives the best storability. All pumpkins are edible! For some varieties, we list synonyms, which are the names by which the variety is also known. For other varieties, we list very similar varieties; if you have a clear preference for one of the listed varieties, please indicate it clearly.
