Named after the Tenegua volcano on Tenerife. This is a medium-hot pepper with a classic appearance. The fruits are of average size. The plants grow very large; 2 m is not uncommon. The plants branch easily and produce a large amount of fruit. Due to this growth, the plant does not tolerate wind well, so cultivation in a sheltered spot or in a greenhouse is recommended. Even there, a support is of course not a luxury. A striking feature of this variety is the strong, pleasant scent of the flowers after sunset. In winter, you can prune the plant back and overwinter it indoors in a pot.
