Pepper 'Blue Christmas'

  • Product number: 207949
  • Origin: America
  • Latin: Capsicum annuum

Where does the name "Blue Christmas" come from? Perhaps because the plant more or less approximates the growth habit of a (gaily decorated) Christmas tree. The rather mild-tasting fruits are small and grow upright. The whole presents a colorful sight: the green-purple leaves, the white flowers, and the fruits that change from green through pink, purple, and orange, finally to red. Under bright conditions, the ripe fruits are flecked with purple. The plants do not grow taller than 50 cm and do well in pots on a patio or balcony.

Names:
Latin: Capsicum annuum
Dutch: Peper 'Blue Christmas'
