A REAL TASTE SENSATION!
This French variety from 1973 is now quite rare and is maintained by only a few growers worldwide! The disease-resistant plants grow profusely in the greenhouse and yield a large harvest of 1-1.5 kg heavy fruits with deliciously fresh, sweet and aromatic flesh. This flesh is bright orange, the fruits slightly elongated and cream-coloured.
Cantaloupe or Netted melon (Reticulatus group) Vining, with a musky aroma and scent, lobed and (often) heart-shaped leaves. The flesh is orange or green and the rind is always netted. Cantaloupe is the French spelling for the Italian Cantaluppi, the estate of the popes, where in the early Middle Ages, melons from the then accessible world were collected and cultivated.
