This special, historic, Italian variety has been tested for purity through years of selection and has since been propagated by our organic grower in Italy. The melon is unique, the green and fairly round fruits weigh 1-2 kg, you harvest them when the first yellow-orange discoloration appears next to the green, not earlier and not later, ripe is ripe. The reward is tender, juicy, delicious and intensely aromatic whitish flesh. Clear hints of the sweetness and taste of bananas.
This melon seemed extinct, but was fortunately rediscovered in 2003 by a grower; in the first half of the 20th century (and before), this fruit was mainly cultivated in Northern Italy.
