Grows in the greenhouse or sheltered outdoors and can be harvested at different stages: fresh when green and ripe, the pea can then be eaten raw; dried and mature, the pea can then be roasted, cooked after soaking or (and this is interesting all year round) grown as sprouts. See also the chapter "sprouts". Height 60-80 cm. 'Principe' is a wrinkled and large-seeded type. Tip: sow this legume alternately with false flax (390900) for natural support.
