The leaves and flowers of all Deadnettle varieties are edible; the flowers are very decorative as a salad topping, and the leaves can be eaten either raw or like spinach. Finely chopped, the uncooked leaves are a healthy and flavorful addition to dishes! The fibrous leaves are rich in vitamins and iron. The plants also look very decorative in a wild natural garden. For this packet, we mix at least 2 of the 4 varieties: Lamium album, L. amplexicaule, L. maculatum, and L. purpureum. These are White Deadnettle, Henbit, Spotted Deadnettle, and Purple Deadnettle.
