Courgettes can be grown outdoors without any problems. This variety does not trail; the fruits grow from the center of
the plant. For consumption, harvest the fruits young to very young. For decorative purposes, let them ripen, then they can be stored.

Harvest too large? Sauté a quantity of sliced zucchini, onions, and garlic. Then, purée and freeze. Once thawed, this forms a great base for soups when combined with broth. If the zucchini has grown rather large: Peel and deseed, then shave completely with a vegetable peeler or cheese slicer to create zucchini ribbons, beautiful white strands. Sprinkle with salt and let drain. Then, mix well with two generous tablespoons of chopped chives, the same amount of pimpernel leaves, and the same amount of mayonnaise. This makes a delicious salad for approximately 4 to 8 people, depending on the zucchini. Per 15 cm of zucchini length and a circumference of 25 cm, it's enough for 1 to 2 people, depending on whether it's a main course or a side dish…
