Edible chrysanthemum variety with very aromatic leaves. This variety has broad, slightly lobed leaves. Popular in Asia for centuries, this healthy vegetable is now conquering Europe too! Both stems and leaves are edible. With a sesame oil dressing, it's a great addition to salads. Even after quick stir-frying, the vegetable retains plenty of flavour! Harvesting usually takes place when the plant is 30 cm high: the tops are cut or leaves are picked. Nowadays, cultivation as a microgreen is also popular: the plants are sown very close together and harvested when they are barely 10 cm high.
Also let some plants grow on for the richly flowering, yellow-white (and of course edible!) corn marigolds!
