Bush Beans 'Koning der Belgen' / 'Roi des Belges'

  • Product number: 046065.1
  • Origin: Belgium
  • Latin: Common bean

Loved since 1920 as a very early bean and at the time an improvement on the 'Black Belgian'. Like that old variety from 1839, 'Koning der Belgen' (King of the Belgians) is black-seeded. It is named in homage to King Albert I. Due to its early maturity, this tasty bean can still be sown very late. An additional advantage is its resistance to somewhat colder weather conditions!

Denominations:

  • Latin: Phaseolus vulgaris
  • Dutch: Stamslabonen
  • Also: Lage Sperziebonen or Prinsessenbonen
  • English: Snap Bean/Dwarf
