A variety from France, probably originated in 1892. A beautiful harvest of fine, green beans, which are well suited for extra early harvest (needle beans) but also remain tender when picked later. In that case, be aware of strings; it will take a little more work to clean them. Incidentally, there is often the (nostalgic) sigh that the old-fashioned string beans were the tastiest! The brown seeds are remarkable and typical for needle bean varieties. The pods are quite long.
