Not an edible plant, but a protector against animal foraging! An elegant and strong plant, which our Eastern neighbours call Verpiss-Dich (Piss-Off)! The plant has a strong scent that repels animals such as cats, dogs, hares, rabbits, foxes and martens. The leaves are quite thick and grow in a rosette, the flowering is subtly blue (VII-IX). The scent is mainly released in dry weather, a pungent aromatic smell, which humans mostly notice after touching the leaf (I don't find it unpleasant, but tastes differ...) Give the plant a sunny to semi-shaded spot, in rich, moisture-retaining soil. They also grow excellently in a pot. In winter, the plant can only survive indoors. The final height is 15-20 cm, growth is mainly in width. Sometimes we supply the variegated variety.
