A hint of ginger aroma adds the finishing touch to tomatoes and fruit salad. This ginger mint (also delicious with fish!) offers an exciting mint variation. The plants have a modest spread.
Most mint varieties of the genus Mentha grow in sun or shade. In the sun, the most compact growth and the most intense color, fragrance, and taste develop. Each variety goes through 2 growth stages: in spring, there is an upward growth spurt before flowering. Afterwards, horizontally (hard) growing runners emerge, which develop into new plants in a different location. Bees and butterflies love mint flowers.
