This is probably the oldest known variety still grown or collected in the US, dating back before 1700. We suspect it is a spontaneous cross between Fragaria chiloensis x virginiana, which we now call "x ananassa". You harvest fairly small, white strawberries with a pink blush. The taste is fresh and just sweet enough.
Our strawberry collection partly consists of rare old varieties, which are only available in small quantities. Therefore, the waiting time can be long. Annually in July, our grower pots a new crop, which is delivered in August-September. In April-May, we can replenish part of this assortment. Please note that postage costs may apply for any subsequent deliveries.
