(1857) Cultivated by the English breeder William Nicholson. A light-fleshed, orange-red, old variety from a wild American strawberry, which itself has since become extinct... Early harvest, medium-sized and very tasty and aromatic fruits with sunken seeds are typical for this variety. The variety is self-pollinating and can be forced well in a greenhouse. (bnkk)
Our strawberry collection partly consists of rare old varieties, which are only sparingly available. Therefore, the waiting time may be long. Every year in July, a new crop is potted by our grower, which is delivered in August-September. In April-May, we can replenish part of this assortment. Please note that there will be shipping costs for any subsequent deliveries?
