SOLD OUT! The musk strawberry "Profumata di Tortona" is an almost unknown variety from the Italian region of Piedmont, but very popular there! This variety is highly sought after by connoisseurs and gourmets. Every year, these devotees travel from all over the world to the Tortona area to enjoy these beautiful fruits; the harvest only lasts 15 days... The fruits are very delicate and cannot be transported. They are characterized by a sweet but spicy aroma. The fruits are very dark, almost black-red. The taste is described as a mixture of honey and cinnamon. The variety only produces female flowers, so a pollinator variety (look for Fragaria moschata) must be present in the immediate vicinity. The plants grow to about 25 cm high and quickly form a beautiful carpet. They are suitable for wild cultivation and spread an intense, pleasant scent.
Our collection of strawberries partly consists of rare old varieties, which are only available in limited quantities. Therefore, the waiting time can be long. Annually in July, a new crop is potted by our grower, which is delivered in August-September. In April-May, we can replenish part of this assortment. Please note that there may be postage costs for any subsequent deliveries?
