A variety that was the standard in Germany from 1902 until just after 1960, introduced by Plantage Deutsch Evern and a descendant of ‘Laxton’s Noble’ and ‘Sieger’. The medium-sized fruits ripen early, are irregular in shape and deliciously aromatic. The flesh is light in colour. Plant out regularly to keep the fruit at a good size. (bnkk)
