'Buccaneer' is a Dutch variety from the area of Neer, Limburg. The trees grow to a normal size, produce abundant male and female blossoms and are well capable of self-pollination. Cross-pollination yields even more fruit and also helps all other varieties to produce a larger harvest. The light brown nuts are grooved and exceptionally tasty!
Who doesn't know the walnut... wide trees that create a wonderful shady spot. A useful fact: mosquitoes and flies dislike the vicinity of this tree, so a bench under the walnut tree is a delight on a warm summer evening...! We supply young saplings, which gives the best chance for healthy growth. Plant them deep enough so that the root ball is just below the ground (not too deep) and ensure a moderately moist, well-drained location. Walnuts need to ripen further after harvesting.
