Passion fruit has a unique, pleasant taste: sweet and slightly bitter. The most successful and delicious fruits grow on this species (Passiflora edulis). Grow them in a greenhouse that you can keep just above freezing, or in a large pot that you can bring indoors to protect from frost. They cannot tolerate night frost, but they do like to be cool and bright in winter. The beautiful white and purple flowers are self-pollinating, so fruit set is often successful!
