The plant grows quite large, pruning is allowed, and it prefers warmth more than most other Citrus plants. This means it should be treated as a houseplant! The leaves are ornamental and fragrant, but too tough to eat. However, in Thai and Indonesian cuisine, the leaves are cooked along with dishes to perfume them. The white and purple flowers smell fresh and sweet. Enjoy the tasty, sour, yellowish-green fruits; they are oval-shaped with a swollen nipple-like end.
