This Composter has a capacity of 25-30 liters per week. Suitable for households of 5 people or more, small residential units or farmhouses, petting zoos, and small catering establishments. The drum is on a high stand, allowing it to be tipped out into a wheelbarrow, for example.

Solid and remarkably practical composting drum!
Good air intake and rotation capability ensure sufficient oxygen. The division into 2 compartments allows for a continuous supply of garden and kitchen waste. Kitchen waste: only organic, cooked or uncooked, meat and fish etc., see the instruction card. Garden waste: because this quickly takes up a large volume, the smallest model is not recommended, no branches! Available in different sizes, depending on the input. Adding wood pellets regulates moisture, and compost accelerator (850220) can optionally be added.

The composting process basically involves filling for approximately 6 weeks and maturing for 6 weeks (hence the 2 compartments; otherwise, the compost cannot mature and remains active because new waste is constantly added). Once the process is underway, you will have a compartment of compost approximately every 6 weeks. About 15-20% of the waste remains. The compartments can, of course, be emptied separately, and it is not intended to transfer material from one compartment to the other.

Sun or shade is not so important, the heat is built up from within. The insulation ensures that the Composter retains its heat, even in winter. It is important that there is airflow, so do not enclose it completely. Air (oxygen) is an essential part of the composting process.
