(1892) King of the Earliest x Laxton's Noble. An English variety from breeder Laxton that bears fruit very early. This is 1 of the 4 old British varieties that formed the basis for the breakthrough in American varieties. Brief description: large fruits, oblong, slightly flattened, red with yellow seeds, pink flesh, aromatic with a pleasant touch of acidity. Good vigor and abundant fruit set.
Our strawberry collection partly consists of rare old varieties, which are only sporadically available. Therefore, the waiting time can be long. Each year, a new crop is potted by our grower in July, which is delivered in August-September. In April-May, we can replenish part of this assortment. Please note that postage costs may apply for any subsequent deliveries.
