Pruning Shears Oldie in Leather

These secateurs give a nod to models made more than 100 years ago! Made of carbon steel, the handles are covered with leather to prevent slipping, and the sturdy lock is located in the centre of the shears.
Carbon steel has the following advantages:
- Very strong, bends rather than breaks
- Easy to sharpen (razor sharp)
- Never very expensive
- Manufacturing is more sustainable and simpler than various processed steel types
Disadvantages:
- Rusts easily, so clean after use and keep slightly oiled.
- Slightly less hard, so requires more frequent sharpening
