Tagetes patula 'Alumia Vanilla Cream'
- Product number: 555980
- Origin: France
- Latin: Tagetes patula
David Lemon reached the pinnacle of a lifetime spent perfecting marigolds with the introduction of this French series: Alumia.
Vanilla Cream is the showpiece of this series, featuring an unprecedented shade of pale primrose yellow in the central cluster of petals, surrounded by lighter cream petals: that is how you describe an anemone-flowered marigold, spectacular! The flowers measure 5-6 cm in diameter, and the profuse-blooming plants grow 25-30 cm tall.
This charming bedding plant with double (full) flowers (2-5 cm across) is timeless! Lovers and haters alike know its distinctive scent... and its warm colours always bring cheer to the garden!
This Tagetes also helps control harmful nematodes (root-knot roundworms). For more crops, see the “Useful Plants” chapter in the “Disease-Resistant Plants” group.
