Potatoes 'Rhoderich' / 'Roderich'

  • Product number: 408655.1
  • Origin: South America
  • Latin: Solanum tuberosum

This fairly firm potato is a favourite of my garden friend Astrid Storm! The oval-round tubers can be harvested quite early, you can expect a good harvest, the yellow skin contains cream-coloured flesh with a fine and fresh aroma.

FIRM-COOKING VARIETY FOR GOURMETS.
We have grouped the firm-cooking varieties together because their flavour differs considerably from the rest. They remain very firm after cooking, so they definitely don't fall apart, and have a waxy firm texture. After cooling, the tubers are still a delicacy and are used, for example, for salads. Most firm-cooking varieties can be harvested from mid-early to late: flavour simply takes time to develop…! Plant from mid-April, when the soil is warm enough. Pre-sprouting in the light or in a large pot can be done earlier. Do not plant them in a spot that is too wet, but do plant them in full sun. The average planting distance is 70x40 cm, we advise maintaining 80x40 cm to prevent diseases.
