This Chilean pepper is a real all-rounder, as it is suitable for many uses. The plant grows to a maximum height of 90 cm. The mildly hot peppers grow to about 9 cm long and have a distinct lemon flavour. As they ripen, the peppers change colour from light green to yellow and eventually turn red. They are tastiest when they are almost red. One of the earliest peppers! Popular in Italian dishes, salads, soups, sauces, stir-fries and, of course, various Asian and South American dishes. The plant, and especially its side branches, needs support because the large, heavy fruit can otherwise cause the branches to break.
